Grading Open Doors and Fees: September 26, 2026 Snapshot
Which PSA, CGC, TAG, Beckett and SGC grading services were open on Sep 26, 2026, what each costs, and what's paused, checked on each company's own site.

This page lists which grading services were open on September 26, 2026, what each one costs, and what is paused. We checked every price on the grading company's own website that morning. Compared with our September 25 snapshot, the open-door picture is unchanged: PSA, CGC and SGC prices did not move; Beckett is still Express only (Base and Standard paused with a waitlist; see our story on the pause); and TAG still sells Priority and Walkthrough while Express stays unavailable. Fees can change at any time, so check each company's page before you pay or ship.

What changed since September 25
Nothing material on the fee ladders. PSA, CGC and SGC prices are the same as on Sep 25. PSA's Value tiers are still paused, CGC still lists Bulk through WalkThrough, and SGC Standard is still $50 or $85 with Expedited from $150.
Beckett is still Express only. Since the afternoon of Sep 24, Beckett's maintenance page has said Base and Standard submissions are temporarily paused with a waitlist, while Express submissions remain open (full story). Our Sep 26 check confirms Base and Standard have not reopened.
TAG Express still cannot be bought. Priority ($149) and Walkthrough ($299) remain the only TAG grading services you can buy. The pricing page still says regular tiers are paused.
TAG's recovery numbers haven't moved. Its backlog tracker still shows the company working at about 63% of its current capacity, about 85% recovered from its peak backlog, and expecting to fully catch up in October. That tracker was last updated on Wednesday, Sep 16. The Pokemon drop page still sends visitors to a waiting room.
TAG still doesn't list Standard grading in its online store. That doesn't mean Standard is closed for good; it just can't be bought today.
One leftover TAG listing is still for sale. A "Basic (9-16 drop)" listing from an earlier limited release still shows as available at $59.00. It's left over from that release and doesn't mean TAG's regular Basic tier has reopened.

How to choose: Standard at $59.99 is the cheapest PSA service you can order online while Value is paused. Priority costs $20 more and is worth it if you need the higher $1,500 insured value or the shorter 70-80 business-day estimate.
CGC: every tier open

CGC says its turnaround times are estimates in working days and are not guaranteed. Associate and Premium members save 10% on grading, and Elite members save 20%.

How to choose: every CGC tier is open with no pause notice. The cheap tiers, Bulk and Economy, carry long estimates (150 and 90 working days), so plan around that wait.
TAG: slowly recovering, with only two services open

TAG's backlog tracker still shows the company working at about 63% of its current capacity and about 85% recovered from its peak backlog, with a full catch-up expected in October. The tracker was last updated Wednesday, Sep 16. The Pokemon drop page sent us to a waiting room, so treat that limited release as capacity-limited rather than open to everyone.
How to choose: don't count on TAG for everyday submissions right now. Use Priority or Walkthrough only if checkout actually goes through, sign up for TAG's drop notifications if you want the next limited window, and check the backlog tracker before you plan around a turnaround time.
Beckett: Express open; Base and Standard paused

Beckett says its website and mobile app are still temporarily offline. Its maintenance page says Express Submissions Remain Open, and that Base and Standard submissions are temporarily paused so Beckett can focus on existing orders and turnaround times. You can join a waitlist to hear when Base and Standard reopen. The page's FAQ says Express is available through the temporary submission form. Our latest look does not claim Base or Standard reopened.

Form notes: services include subgrades unless otherwise indicated; any card graded a 10 automatically receives subgrades and incurs a $3 upgrade fee; card quantity cannot exceed 100 per submission; payment is collected after Beckett receives and reviews the order. Prices can still appear on the form for paused tiers; the maintenance page is the authority for which doors are open.
How to choose: budget Beckett speed with Express $79.95 on the temporary form if that path still completes. Join the waitlist for Base and Standard rather than assuming those doors are live. This is not a claim that Beckett.com storefront features are restored.

SGC notes on the same table: for each additional $10,000 over $100,000 in card value, add $375 to the base fee; orders can take longer if crossovers are submitted without a minimum grade; turnaround begins once the order is unboxed and logged. How to choose: use SGC when the Standard $50 / $85 declared-value bands fit, or when Expedited speed is worth the jump from $150 upward. Re-open gosgc.com/pricing before you submit; pricing pages can change without a press release.

As of September 26, 2026, PSA, CGC and SGC prices haven't changed since Sep 25. Beckett is still down to Express only, with Base and Standard paused behind a waitlist. At TAG, only Priority and Walkthrough can be bought, since Express stays unavailable and regular tiers stay paused. Check each company's page before you ship. Are Beckett.com and the Beckett app back?
No. Beckett's grading page still says its platforms are temporarily offline and sends collectors to the temporary submission form for Express.
Can I submit TAG regular Basic or Standard today?
No. TAG's pricing page still says regular tiers are paused, and Standard isn't listed in its store. Priority ($149) and Walkthrough ($299) can be bought. Confirm in checkout before you ship.
What are SGC's cheapest Standard and Expedited options?
Standard (40+ business days) starts at $50 for cards declared at up to $1,500. Expedited (2-3 business days) starts at $150 for cards declared at up to $3,500. There's no Expedited option at the $1,500 level.
Is PSA Value a way to grade more cheaply?
Not right now. PSA still marks its Value services as temporarily paused and unavailable.
