About
Card Grading News covers the business of card grading: submission pauses and reopenings, price changes, backlogs and turnaround times, counterfeits and slab fraud, and the market moves that decide whether a card is worth sending anywhere at all.
Card Grading News is published by TCG Treasury LLC, a Pennsylvania company. We are a publication, not a grading service, and we do not grade, sell or authenticate cards.
CardGrade, the AI pre-grading app at cardgrade.io, advertises on this site. It is also a TCG Treasury LLC company. We state that plainly rather than describing it as an unrelated advertiser, because common ownership is a material connection and you are entitled to weigh it. Advertising placements are labelled as advertising, and no advertiser — including a commonly owned one — sees or approves our reporting before it publishes.
Some of our reporting cites grading data produced by CardGrade's systems. Where we do, we say so, and we state how many cards the figure covers and over what dates, so you can judge the evidence rather than take our word for it.
We use AI tooling in our research and drafting workflow — for gathering sources, querying our own grading dataset, and producing first drafts. Every article is reviewed and published under a named human byline, and every factual claim is checked against a primary source before publication. We do not publish articles authored by AI under an AI byline, and we do not mass-generate pages.
If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so in the article with a dated update note. We do not silently edit a story and we do not change a publication date without a substantive change to the piece. To report an error, see contact.
Some articles link to CardGrade or to third-party products, and some of those links may earn a commission. Any article containing them carries a disclosure above the content it applies to. Commercial relationships never determine our conclusions, and we publish the data behind them so you can disagree with us on the evidence.
