CGC Bulk Hits 150 Working Days: The Open Door Is Slow
CGC’s live U.S. fee table lists Bulk at $17/150 working days and Economy at $20/90 while Standard is 10 days. How the open low-fee door works in August.

As of August 8, 2026, CGC Cards’ Services and Fees page shows a clear two-speed menu for U.S. card submissions. The cheapest tiers are still accepting orders, but the published clocks are long: Bulk at 150 working days and Economy at 90 working days. Faster lanes remain available at higher fees. Those figures were read from CGC’s own domain for this article — not from a screenshot or a third-party roundup.
What CGC’s fee table shows right now
CGC states that turnaround times reflect estimated working days to complete a submission delivered to its facility, that estimates are not guaranteed, and that cards missing from its database can take longer because of research. Working days here are business days, not calendar days.

The headline is not that CGC stopped grading cheap cards. It is that the published Bulk clock is now measured in months of working days. A 150-working-day estimate is on the order of seven calendar months before weekends and holidays — before shipping either way.
Why this matters in an industry that paused the cheap doors
August 2026 is not a normal fee-table story. PSA still has its four Value tiers paused (see our earlier briefing, PSA’s Backlog and the Value Tier Pause). Beckett paused new online Base and Standard submissions on August 5, 2026, with a September 15 reopen estimate (see Beckett Joins PSA: The Cheap Door Into Grading Is Closing). TAG’s regular Basic, Standard, and Express tiers remain paused on its backlog tracker, with limited Priority availability.
Against that backdrop, CGC’s choice is different: keep Bulk and Economy orderable, and publish long estimates instead of closing the lane. Collectors comparing “open” versus “fast” need both columns. An open $17 Bulk order with a 150-working-day estimate is not interchangeable with a paused PSA Value Bulk line or a Beckett Express order.
Decision rule: Treat “accepting submissions” and “useful turnaround” as separate checks. If the card must be back inside a show, auction, or gift window measured in weeks, Bulk/Economy on the August 8 table are the wrong tools even though the order form still works.
What 150 and 90 working days mean in practice
CGC’s FAQ on the same services page distinguishes business days from calendar days: Monday through Friday excluding weekends and public holidays. Using that definition:

These calendar conversions are arithmetic on CGC’s published working-day figures, not a CGC guarantee of a return date. Intake queues, research holds, and shipping still sit outside the estimate.
How to choose a lane without guessing grades
Fee math at Bulk is cheap per card and expensive in time. Ten Bulk cards cost $170 in grading fees before shipping and insurance caps ($500 max declared value per card on Bulk). Ten Standard cards cost $550 in fees with a 10-working-day estimate. Neither number tells you the grade. Decision rule: Do not submit a Bulk or Economy order to “save money” if you cannot tolerate the published working-day estimate on the day you build the form. Pay for Standard/Express only when the deadline requires it — not because a forum thread claimed CGC is “always faster.”

Shipping and verification still apply
Long queues raise the cost of a lost package and of a bad declaration. What this does not change
CGC has not announced a Bulk pause in the fee table checked for this article. PSA’s Value reopen trigger remains a backlog milestone on PSA’s tracker, not a CGC number. Beckett’s September 15 estimate remains Beckett’s estimate. None of those companies’ counsel should read this piece as alleging fraud or misconduct — it reports published service menus.
The bottom line
